Refund Policy — AI Proposal Writer for Upwork

This policy describes when and how you can request a refund for the Pro plan ($15/month).
Eligibility
You are eligible for a full refund if all of the following are true:
- You are within 14 days of your most recent charge.
- You have used 10 or fewer proposals during your current billing period (the same allowance as the Free plan).
- You have not previously been refunded for the same billing period.
The 10-proposal threshold matches the Free plan's monthly allowance. The intent is straightforward: if you tried Pro and barely used it, we will refund you. If you used the service heavily, the value has already been delivered.
How to request a refund
Email support@approidtech.com with:
- The email address on your account.
- The reason for the refund (a sentence or two is enough).
We respond within 1 business day. Approved refunds are issued immediately.
You can check your own current usage at any time from the Extension's Plans & Billing → Overview tab. The refund-eligibility line shows "X of 10 proposals used (refund threshold)."
What happens after a refund
When we approve and issue a full refund:
- Your card is credited. The refund appears on your statement within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank. Polar.sh (our payment processor) handles the actual money movement.
- Your subscription is cancelled immediately. Pro access ends now, not at the end of the billing period.
- Your account is moved to the Free plan. You keep your profile, templates, history, and writing samples — only the plan tier changes.
- You receive a confirmation email with the refund amount and your new plan status.
- A refund entry appears in your subscription history timeline in the Extension.
Partial refunds
We do not issue partial or pro-rated refunds. If you cancel mid-period, your subscription stays active until the end of the billing period and you keep what you paid for. You will not be charged again.
Special cases (we will refund even if you are over the threshold)
We will issue a refund regardless of usage if:
- The Service had a documented outage that prevented you from using it during your billing period.
- A technical bug we caused damaged your work (e.g., you lost a generated proposal due to an extension defect).
- You were charged for a plan tier you did not knowingly subscribe to.
Email us with details. We will investigate and refund without argument if we agree the issue is real.
Chargebacks
If you dispute a charge with your bank without first emailing us, we will share the relevant transaction data and usage records with the bank to resolve the dispute. Repeated chargebacks may result in account suspension.
We almost always prefer to issue a refund directly. Email us first.
